ONtility, in partnership with Texas Solar Energy Society and Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association, will offer Solar Installation Training – Solar Electric Systems on September 20 - 24, 2010.  Upon successful completion of this 40 hour course, students are eligible to take the NABCEP® Entry Level PV Exam. Solar systems both Electric (PV) and Hot Water/Pool (Thermal), are becoming more affordable as module and component prices continue to fall and more rebates, production incentives, and tax credits become available.  At the same time, new technologies like microinverters and AC solar panels offer simplified installation and increased system performance. Like other home improvements or remodeling projects, what would you need to do to plan, design and manage your own installation?

This is an interactive workshop where you will be “coached” through the process of assessing your solar potential, creating a preliminary system design and sizing, and development of a checklist to get started on your Energy Independence Project.  Register Here

Solar PV Technician Training $195 NABCEP  & ISDQ CEU credits

Sunday - Sept. 26, 8 am - 5 pm

Ontility also provides a one-day, 8-hour S101 Solar PV Technician Training workshop designed for those directly responsible for hands-on installation of solar electric systems. There is no prerequisite, but an understanding of solar fundamentals is helpful.   Course CEU credits satisfy NABCEP continuing education requirements and is ISDQ accredited. Farm Tour

Another new fun thing will be the local farm tour.  TOFGA is working with us to produce a fun tour of area farms and ranches that are sustainable, natural and organic.  Tour information will be released by August 30, 2010.
